Cat Country 98.9 is honored to welcome legendary Country Music Hall of Fame member and radio dj Eddie Edwards to the family in mornings! Edwards has worked as an on-air personality in eleven different cities, including Nashville, Los Angeles and New Orleans. Edwards served as a DJ at New Orleans’ WNOE for 20 years before making the switch in 2017 to mornings on Cat Country 98.9. He has received the “DJ of the Year” award from the Country Music Association, Academy of Country Music and the Gavin Report, and played harmonica on stage for acts including Brad Paisley, Vince Gill, Sawyer Brown, Gary Allan and more. Edwards was inducted into the Country Radio Hall of Fame in 2013 for his outstanding contributions to country music.
Cat Country is also proud to welcome local Covington business owner Erin Brennan to the "Eddie & Erin in the Morning" show. Erin is a co-owner of the Covington Brewhouse located near the trailhead in Covington, LA and has worked for a myriad of stations throughout the region and country. Erin's husband, Bruiser, is the bass player for New Orleans rock band Cowboy Mouth. Check out our irreverent morning show hosts as they get you up and rollin' to school, work or anywhere else across the Northshore every weekday morning!
